Brianna is Very Hardy

I was a little worried about how last weekend's cold, cold weather might have killed some of the buds. The combination of extreme cold and wind last weekend could have been devastating to the vines. Today was warm. I was outside without a jacket and very confortable even though there was wind. I was outside in shirt sleeves every month this winter - usually followed by moving snow with a loader a few days later.

I took a look at the immature Brianna today. I broke off a thin branch at the top of the vine, a part I will prune before bud break, and it was green. This is an amazing vine!

Hopefully the temperature doesn't dip too low again this winter.
