Harvest Dates

We are still in a severe drought.

We've penciled-in our harvest dates for 2016. Based on my notes from last year, we're nearly on the same schedule as last year. This recent heat wave - especially nearing 100°F the past few days - things are moving along quickly. The Marquette is ahead of schedule so is our red hybrid grape (Appolo Red).

Of course, this schedule is subject to change.

Here is our best guess right now:

Aug 27: Brianna

Sep 3: Alpenglow, Prairie Star, Marquette, Appolo Red

Sep 10: Frontenac, Frontenac Gris, Orion, Marechal Foch

Sep 17: Niagara, Cayuga White

Sep 24: Red One (American Reds, Baco Noir)

Brianna and Frontenac Gris have 2 to 2.5 times the amount of fruit they have every produced here. This is mostly because many of those vines have reached full maturity and we had a dry spring.

The American grapes (wild grapes, concord, Niagara) are all very full with fruit this year.

If you can help us bring in this harvest, volunteer on our Visit page. Let us know which dates you can help.
