At the Vineyard in Derry
Harvest Starts in August
August is the best month to visit the vineyard. Grapes are starting to ripen, and we're mowing down the cover crops to make way for hand harvesting. The smell of grapes lifts into the air.
We always offer up the ability to help with harvest to our customers.
Since this is so dependent on the weather, we only have approximate target dates for the grape harvest. Historically, Brianna harvest starts the third weekend in August, but this year may be the last weekend in August. The number of sunny vs rainy days will determine that.
We plan on making this an event with catered food and some surprises that I'll talk about soon.
The Brianna photo below was taken today (4AUG2026).
